Dahlia was an only child. She grew up isolated from children her age in the historic, century old, Blood Manor. Her mother lavished her with dolls to keep her entertained. Dahlia was often heard talking with her imaginary friends. This behavior concerned her mother. Rumors were whispered that the young heir was possessed by the devil. She could be found secluded in her bedroom surrounded by her playmates.

One night Dahlia was awakened by a horrific storm. Flashes of lightning danced in her room, roars of thunder echoed through the halls, as rain pelted the window panes. Startled, she remembered she had left her favorite doll outside her playhouse. She ventured into the storm. She searched frantically, but the doll was nowhere to be found! Lying in its place was a tiny, white, glistening human skull... Dahlia carefully picked up the skull. She noticed a ragged hole in its side. Someone had smashed it with a hard blunt object. She cradled the tiny skull next to her and ran inside. Knowing she must keep the skull hidden, she sliced open the back of one of her doll's heads and placed the skull inside.

As she was falling asleep the following night she heard a baby crying. She crept out of bed to investigate. As she opened the closet door the crying grew louder. It was coming from the very doll that she had concealed the skull in the previous night! As a good mother, she tried to feed it milk. That didn't satisfy it. She decided to take the doll to bed with her to comfort and quiet her. As she picked up the doll, a hat pin that decorated its clothing pricked Dahlia's finger. The doll stopped crying and stared in the direction of the blood. She offered her finger to the doll. A drop of blood fell into its mouth. The doll grew quiet...

As Dahlia grew to adulthood so did the doll, as well as its desire for blood. Dahlia would tip toe into the basement to the caretaker's taxidermy room. Here she would find freshly killed animals and the tools to extract the blood to feed the ravenous appetite of the doll. But as time passed, the animal blood no longer satisfied its craving.

Dahlia's mother's sudden death was unexpected. At the reading of the will, written on the day of Dahlia's birth, October 31st, she discovered the estate was left to both her and her twin sister! But she didn't have a twin sister!

Dahlia was forced to open the historic site to the public. The history and beautiful surroundings enticed guests to the manor. She would invite her guests in for tea to help them relax after their journey.
