Headless Horseman Hayrides and Haunted Houses is a force to be feared!

Two thousand and twelve's hayride theme is "The Cult of the Horseman." The 20th year haunted attraction celebration will also include: The Lunar Motel, Glutton's Slaughter House, The Root Cellar, Dark Harvest Corn Maze, Nightshade Greenhouse, The Feeding, Dahlia Blood's Manor, and new for 2012 Dr Dark's Black Spider Sideshow.

We will be resurrecting many of the popular monsters that have haunted the grounds throughout the years: Butcher Joe, The Necromancer, The Bogeyman, Dr. Blight, Dr. Dark, Prisoner X, The Tooth Fairy, The Collectors, The Hollowmen and of course, The Headless Horseman! In addition there will be a new Magic and Illusion Show, line actors, stilt walkers and stunt performers. With a sizzle reel for a new reality show in the can and the recently established American Made Monster Studios, 2012 is the year to celebrate!

Headless Horseman Hayrides and Haunted Houses is located in Ulster Park, NY, part of the Historic Haunted Hudson Valley. The property incorporates over forty-five acres of naturally landscaped property that includes foreboding woods, surreal ponds, fruit orchards and more.

It has been named World's Best Haunted Hayride by AOL News, voted America's Scariest Haunted House in the Northeast by MTV, voted "One of the Best Haunts in the country" by Hauntworld.com, voted #1 "America's Best Top 13" by Hauntedhouseratings.com.

Headless Horseman is a theatrical experience like no other!

Our attraction includes a one mile hayride, a labyrinth style corn maze, six professionally created haunted houses, four food concessions, as well as Ghoulish Gifts, Magic Moon Gifts, Scarewear and Witchy Woman gift shops.

Additional nightly entertainment this year includes a brand new act we are thrilled to bring to the stage. Illusionist Ryan Dutcher and his creative team take over and bring you a show like no other. Ryan's unique mix of magic, special effects, and theatrics sets him apart. We introduce to you the 2012 show...778. An old abandoned warehouse at 778 Broadway was forced to shut down after an incident and is said to still be haunted today ....A popular place for teens to break in and see if the legends are true. Come find out for yourself!

Our attraction is designed and built by professionals from the lighting, costume, sound, set design, special effects, and make-up industries. We employ over 250 actors and staff trained to provide a memorable and enjoyable evening for the whole family.

This is an outdoor attraction which is held in the dark! APPROPRIATE ATTIRE IS REQUIRED! Proper footwear is required. No high heels or flip flops are recommended. You will experience audio & visual disturbances, low visibility, strobe lights, fog, damp and/or wet conditions, encounter uneven walking surfaces in a physically demanding environment. While every effort is made to ensure your safety, you should not participate if you are: pregnant; suffer from claustrophobia; are prone to seizures; have heart, back, or respiratory problems.

WEATHER-RELATED EMERGENCIES

In the event of a weather-related emergency such as sudden serious storms, heavy rains, high winds and other severe weather conditions, Headless Horseman Hayrides and Haunted Houses will close temporarily until the danger of inclement weather has passed.  As soon as conditions permit safe operation these attractions will re-open if possible.

As Guest and Employee safety is our number one priority, there are certain weather circumstances that may cause Headless Horseman Hayrides and Haunted Houses to close earlier than scheduled or not open at all.  As soon as closures are confirmed the website and facebook will be updated with the current operating status.  Headless Horseman Hayrides and Haunted Houses does not issue rain checks or refunds.
